ABC Computers (now Innovia Consulting) is pleased to announce that their customer, Single Source, Inc. was recognized by Microsoft® with a 2009 Microsoft Dynamics Customer Excellence Award for excellence in Distribution Industry Leadership.
ABC and Single Source were honored at an award ceremony in New Orleans by Microsoft executives, Kirill Tatarinov, corporate vice president of Microsoft Business Solutions and a remote presentation from Steve Ballmer, Microsoft Chief Executive Officer.
The awards luncheon was held on Tuesday, March 10, at Convergence 2009 New Orleans, the premier world-wide Microsoft Dynamics user conference.
The 2009 Customer Excellence Awards, which are presented in 11 categories, recognize and celebrate Microsoft Dynamics customers that have achieved notable accomplishments using software solutions from both ABC Computers and Microsoft Dynamics NAV. The Distribution Industry Leadership award recognizes a distribution company (eg, wholesale distributors and industrial good distributors) whose innovative use of technology in their business delivers measurable benefits to their organization,
Single Source is headquartered in Darien, Illinois, and provides a full line of Dry, Refrigerated, Frozen, Grocery, Paper and Chemical products in large volume to institutional commissaries, primarily correctional institutions. The company processes orders and ships approximately 250 Million pounds of food a year nationwide with a total of merely 22 employees company wide. Single Source also operates a total of nine Third Party Logistics (3PL) warehouses.
Single Source, Inc. was recognized for its strong commitment in Distribution Industry Leadership. Working with Microsoft Dynamics certified partner ABC Computers of Waupaca, WI, ABC delivered a system that helped Single Source achieve such incredibly high efficiencies, they we able to reduce inventory by almost one million dollars in only three months. Also notable was the improved document handling with their warehousing integration to the extent that Single Source was able to add a ninth warehouse without any additional overhead.
Established in 1997, the Customer Excellence Awards are awarded each year at the Convergence user conferences in the US and Europe. Microsoft Dynamics customers, partners and team members submit nominations. Judging teams for each of the 10 categories rated nominees on creativity, vision, and business benefits. Proposed winners for each category were then presented and reviewed by a panel of Microsoft executive judges for final approval. As part of that final review winning customers were chosen including the Overall Excellence Award winning customer.
