Account schedules in NAV are the financial reporting tool, however they can be cumbersome to setup and maintain. NAV 2017 now offers functionality to automatically generate Account Schedules for some of the main financial statements: Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, Statement of Retained Earnings. New companies are initialized with these account schedules already defined. These auto-generated Account Schedules are prefixed with M-. If users choose Edit Account Schedule on an auto-generated Account Schedule, they will be prompted that it is a system-maintained schedule so any changes made could be lost.Read More

For years, logistics professionals and shippers have had to rely on manual freight rate calculations, phone calls to carriers, and — most recently with the advent of the internet — carrier websites to retrieve freight rates. Logistics coordinators are often faced with internal policies requiring three freight rate quotes at minimum to ensure objective selection processes and, most important, to select the lowest-cost carrier each time.Read More
There are a myriad of problems that arise from inaccurate inventory in business, one of which is the dreaded write-off. The long and short of it is that no one wants to be in a position to inform a boss that some $50K+ worth of inventory has just been written off – for any reason. Perhaps even more frightening is the fact that the true cost of inaccurate inventory is much larger than that.Read More
