E-Ship, a shipping manifest system from Lanham Associates, enables you to reduce costs while increasing both efficiency and accuracy in shipping. It is built inside Microsoft® Dynamics™ NAV which means all of your shipping data, whether the products are shipped via package carriers or LTL, is housed right inside NAV, providing seamlessly simple access to the information you need.
Since the user experience is consistent with other NAV application areas, this results in a much shorter learning curve as there’s no need to learn a different interface. Common data like Customers and Customer Ship-To Addresses are accessed from your NAV customer card, making them available to E-Ship processes without redundant data-entry or cumbersome integration. Shipment planning and execution can begin during sales entry without changing to a different manifest system, and there are no messy interfaces or awkward integrations with a foreign user interface required to ship.
There are a number of ways E-Ship can optimize your shipping. For example, because E-Shipping supports ALL the popular package carriers in a single user interface housed in your ERP business system, there is no need to go to a carrier’s web site to get pricing information and then transfer it to the sales order. No need to have to enter and re-enter data into separate/proprietary carrier systems. It’s ALL done from a Dynamics NAV client -- regardless of whether you are shipping UPS, FedEx, USPS, or LTL. The shipping information is always available inside your business system, and the whole process can be done at the same packing station.
If you are in an EDI environment, E-Ship also captures package-level detail for a BOL or an EDI Advanced Shipping Notice, so there is no need to re-key data or transfer information from system to system to prepare and send the ASN. Both the carrier and UCC128 labels are automatically generated.
