Basic Warehousing for Dynamics NAV – 2018 (Academy Session)

October 14, 8am-12pm

Attend this class to understand how both the sales cycle and purchase cycle work with different setup choices for bins, put-aways and picks. Expand your knowledge with inventory adjustments and cycle counting, and come away from class with a firm grasp on when you should use basic warehousing and when you need to expand to advanced warehousing. These courses cover only standard NAV functionality and add-in products with NAV are not included. Class will be presented in NAV2018 but most functionality applies to older versions of NAV.

Prerequisite: Working knowledge of how to get around in NAV Basic warehousing will get you up and running by covering foundational topics on how to manage inventory in NAV.

Advanced Warehousing in Dynamics NAV – 2018 (Academy Session)

October 14, 1pm-5pm

Advanced warehousing will dive deep into the concept of directed pick and put-away. Understand bin types, zones, replenishment, and inventory movements. Gain even more knowledge on how to streamline processes and increase inventory accuracy. Discuss how some companies incorporate handhelds into their advanced warehousing setup. These courses cover only standard NAV functionality and add-in products with NAV are not included. Class will be presented in NAV2016 but most functionality applies to older versions of NAV.

Prerequisite: Has already taken Basic Warehousing or has working knowledge of Basic Warehousing in a live NAV environment. Concepts in Advanced Warehousing build on concepts covered in Basic Warehousing.

Manufacturing I in Dynamics NAV – 2018 (Academy Session)

October 15, 8am-12pm

This level one course explores the basic manufacturing functionality of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018 from a user’s perspective. A thorough understanding of the following topics will allow you to meet daily challenges in setting up and using basic manufacturing functionalities in Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Using hands-on exercises, you will have the opportunity to apply what you learn during class.

Learning Objectives:

  • Item Setup for Manufacturing
  • Create Production Bill of Materials
  • Create Basic Capacities and Routing
  • Create, process, and finish a production order
  • Register consumption and output
  • Finishing Production Orders & Auto Reporting
