I’ve Got the Power (Query)!

On-Demand

Have you seen Power BI reports and thought, “hey, I want that, but I’d prefer to work in Excel”? If so, you’ve come to the right place.

Power BI might get all the attention for creating visually impactful interactive reports these days, but did you know that the same data engine also lives in Excel?

That’s right. You, too, can create stunning reports, without Power BI, directly from your Excel spreadsheets, and I will show you how. In this session, I will show you how to use the Power Query function in Excel to refresh and dynamically report on data from your Business Central instance. You will be able to create visually stunning reports that better convey your data’s story and engage your viewers for better decision-making.

I’ll be covering:

  • exposing web services from Business Central
  • pulling them into Excel
  • transforming them
  • linking them together
  • and creating quick calculations (measures) in Power Pivot
