Ride the Wave: Business Central 2026 Wave 2 Highlights

October 20th, 2026 | 11:00 am CT/12:00 pm ET

Microsoft's next major update to Dynamics 365 Business Central is on the way. As part of the Dynamics 365 release cadence, the 2026 Wave 2 release rolls out beginning in October, with features continuing to arrive through March 2027. In keeping with Microsoft's direction for Business Central, this wave centers on AI: Copilot and built-in autonomous agents that take repetitive work off your team's plate so you can scale without the usual friction.

In this session, we will cover:

  • The growing family of AI agents: How Business Central's autonomous agents, including the Sales Order Agent, Payables Agent, and Expense Agent, continue to mature and handle more work end-to-end.

  • Designing agents for your business: A look at the ability to envision and design AI agents in Business Central, becoming generally available in October 2026.

  • Expanded Expense Agent: New capabilities, including managing travel requisitions with the Expense Agent.

  • Extending Copilot: Using AI resources to power your own Copilot extensions.

  • Catching up on the last release: A look back at a few standout features from 2026 Wave 1 that were delayed or that we didn't get to cover, including the long-awaited Quality Management and inspection capabilities, so nothing slips through the cracks

Whether you are a Business Central user, administrator, or decision-maker, you will leave with a clear picture of what is changing, what is coming next, and where to focus first.
